Haulage

A&F Grant operate a fleet of 22 tankers and 23 specialist timber vehicles. From our base in Ballindalloch in the heart of Speyside, we travel over 4 million kilometres each year. That's the equivalent of circling the earth 100 times, or 5 return trips to the moon! Road Haulage Association

Whilst timber haulage takes place exclusively in Scotland our bulk tankers travel the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. As well as animal feed, we haul everything from water for steam trains to aviation fuel for jet planes. We have decades of experience in road haulage and are members of the Road Haulage Association.

Our fleet

We operate a modern fleet of vehicles including Scania, MAN, Volvo, Foden, Renault and Hino tractor units and use Dennison trailers specifically built to order. Our timber trailers are fitted with Foresteri timber cranes fitted by Caledonian Forest.

We take vehicle maintenance seriously. Each vehicle receives a detailed 6 weekly inspection by a specialist maintenance crew and as such our VOSA inspection record is one of the best of any haulier operating in the UK.

Bulk liquids haulage

Our tanker fleet comprises of 30,000 to 37,500 litre compartmentalised units and we have the ability to haul both hazardous and non hazardous loads.

Being based in the malt whisky capital of the world, we work with some of the world's most famous whisky distillers including Chivas, Glenfarclas, Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet, Aberlour, Tomintoul, Aberfeldy, Ardmore, Ben Nevis, Invergordon, Glenlossie, Dailuaine, Dufftown and Glenallachie.

Our drivers receive full DOT HAZCHEM training and have the experience to deliver your consignment to its destination safely and on time.

Timber

Our experience in timber haulage is unparalleled. Our large fleet and extensive experience means that we can manage even the most demanding jobs. All our drivers have extensive experience in timber haulage and receive full training and certification in timber handling and crane operation.

We are also one of the few timber haulage companies in the United Kingdom to use the Tireboss tire pressure control system, a computerized device, operated from the cab, that allows the driver to adjust tire pressures while the vehicle is in motion. This increases flotation, reduced rutting, causes less road damage, and improves access to work sites. You can find more about the Tireboss system at www.tirepressurecontrol.com.

Our clients include some of Scotland's largest timber specialists and sawmills including, Tulloch Timber, James Jones & Sons Ltd, Munro Harvesting, UPM Tilhill, BSW Harvesting, Scottish Woodlands, Munro Sawmills, John Gordon & Sons, Tennant (Elgin) Ltd and Euroforest.
